Jim Walters - Broker Associate, P.G., GRI - Prior to forming his real estate business in Steamboat Springs in 2005, Jim worked as a consulting Hydrogeologist and Project manager for Parsons Global Services, co-founded a cloud-based software company in Boulder, CO and spent many summers in the European, Canadian and Alaskan Arctic regions interpreting glacial geology as it relates to global climate change mechanisms. His past expertise in environmental geology has been extremely useful helping clients navigate complex issues with investment property transactions involving oil and gas issues in the Steamboat Springs / Routt County, Colorado region.

Business Philosophy:

This is a business based in client services: communication, sales, negotiation skills and follow-up. What most clients realize is that they really want a 'trusted advisor' - someone that understands the sales process and will help them navigate through the entire transaction. Jim's background in psychology, business, science and sales gives him that edge. Listening to a client's needs and helping them fulfill their goals as a 'business partner' in the process, is the foundation of a successful transaction. Jim is also constantly improving his own skill-set by investing in himself through education and ongoing business coaching.

Personal:

A University of Colorado graduate, Jim enjoys all outdoor activities, vintage cars and travel trailers, playing guitar in local Steamboat Springs venues, scuba diving and just general globe-trotting with his wife.
