Tom Ptach
About
Born and raised in Des Plaines, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, Tom is a graduate of the University of Utah and long-time resident of Steamboat Springs. Living in the Vail Valley from 1983 to 1991, gave him his introduction into resort markets. His feel for resort living further grew with his family’s move to Steamboat in 1992
He met his wife Cindy in 1986. She’s a former broker and owner of Colorado Group Realty, now enjoying a career as a real estate paralegal for a local law firm. Together, they have one son, Scott – who’s a successful real estate broker.in Boulder, Colorado.
Tom believes in giving back to our community. As a founding board member of MainStreet Steamboat, past president of the Steamboat Springs Education Fund Board, past president of Ski Town Rotary and current member of the Steamboat Springs Planning Commission, Tom values the opportunity these positions present for a deeper understanding of our community and the ability to help shape its future for the better.
Tom is a Certified Public Account. Throughout his career he’s held many leadership roles including Treasurer of a major ski area and real estate developer, CFO of a diversified resort property management company; and long-time owner/operator of a small local Steamboat business. Tom sincerely believes that these experiences allow him to bring unique skills to helping his clients with their real estate needs and desires that few others can deliver.
